A.G. CHAPMAN ENTERPRISES has its own license with the Ministry of Natural Resources to log cut blocks allocated by Clergue Forest Management; CHAPMAN will then send/transport the wood to local mills.
Road building is a major part of logging, each block cut needs roads to access wood to be harvested. Our logging technique allows us to leave a cut block that is still inhabitable by wildlife.
We have completed and cleared land for several licensed aggregate pit owners, home and cottage owners and for the following:
• Anjigami Wawa Transmission Station
• East West Tie Transmission Line
• Hydro One Lines
• Michipicoten First Nation
• Alamos Gold Phase III Expansion of Island Gold Mine
We have the certification, knowledge and have built hundreds of kilometers of roads; into various logging cut blocks for harvesting, residential, transmission line projects, and more. Inserting culverts from 1 to 5 feet in some areas, Bridges and/or rig mats are sometimes part of the process which we have the equipment, manpower and knowledge to complete.
We can build up road base and repair roads by hauling in aggregates to fill in washouts or using our equipment to reclaim aggregate from ditches. We grade roads in all seasons; along with snow removal and sanding.
We also do snow removal and sanding.
Some projects completed include:
• The Wawa Transmission Station - Expanded the existing station pad. Cleared trees, removed grub and aggregate, hauled in special aggregate to build expansion site pad.
• Michipicoten First Nation Waste Facility - Cleared trees and prepped ground to insert fencing, prepared site to build holding facilities and security building.
• East West Tie - Land clearing and tower pads.
• Michipicoten First Nation Waste Facility Expansion - Cleared trees, removed grub and aggregates to level waste facility site.
• Michipicoten First Nation Phase l Housing Project - Cleared trees, removed grub and leveled site to project specs.
Worked as sub-contractor to haul materials off mine site, and level area.
Reclamation of roads, landings, skid trails and aggregate pits in various cut blocks and projects.
Our Company has hammer attachments for excavators which have been used for rock removal when building roads, doing site preparations, aggregate pits, and demolition.
With the use of 25 to 35 ton rock trucks we can haul all types of debris, aggregates, and more.
BAT ROOST PROJECT – Built pads, hauled in small rock then covered it with large rock to specific specifications. Built 6 bat roost along the East West Tie Line here in the Wawa Area.
GUIDE – Guided companies to various sites only accessible by foot, all terrain vehicles or boat. To assure effective communication with our team through providing orientation, safety meetings and all safety gear necessary.
